Internship Students: Training Khmer Office


The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Mahasarakham University has its policies for each 3rd year undergraduate enrolling in the Bachelor of Art degree program in Language to take internship in order to improve his/her language proficiency in the skills of speaking, writing, listening, and reading at real work place with native speakers. Those undergraduates will be sent to do the course in relevant fields, companies, NGOs or state enterprises.



Khmer Studies Center (KSC) which was formed since 2004 and is one of units under the department of Oriental and Thai languages of the above, will send its 8 students, enrolling in the bachelor of art degree program in Khmer language to take their internship in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Their internship course will be from March 15 to June 15, 2008 in Royal Academy of Cambodia, Royal University of Fine Art, and Thai Business Association. They will have, during their internship, further study in Khmer Language Program in the Institute of National Language.
To improve and prepare those students’ abilities that will be used in coming real work place with native speakers in Cambodia, KSC held an orientation courses on Khmer Computer Program from February 25-29, 2008. The courses, trained by Mr. CHOM Sonnang and Mr. Banyat Salee, were focused on how to use computer with Khmer OpenOffice, and the accuracy in typing.
